I still love to go to shows and cruise-ins. The car club I am president of, Southern Knights Cruisers, host one on the largest Cruise-Ins on the East Coast. Working with Hardee's Restaurants, this event attracts over 150 hobbyists and another 75 bikers on a good night, when the weather is good. Check our club out! Just click on this link.... With the help of my Son and his business, Balch Automotive & Collision, we started a "Special Car Show" in 1999 to raise money to help Muscular Dystrophy Patients in Central Virginia. It was worked by all volunteers until 2004, when my car club took the show over. Of course we still depend on volunteers to make it all happen. Check this site for MDA Car Show & other car show info. This is my special cruise information and memories pages. We hope you will enjoy them.
Wayne has been show coordinator for the Balch MDA Car Show the last nine years. It's held the last of August in order that all proceeds be turned over during the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon Labor Day weekend. The show has raised over $89,060 at the events held from 1999 through 2003 and has now raised a total of over $172,000, since the Southern Knights Cruisers took over. This just shows what can be accomplished when everybody works toward a common goal. Of course, we wish to thank our many sponsors, good friends, and the many car clubs that participated at the events. www.southernknightscruisers.com The members of the Southern Knights Cruisers, Inc. car club and will continue to work with the Central District Muscular Dystrophy Association in Richmond, Virginia and other clubs in the continued effort to fight this disease and also raise funds for Kid's Charities.
For 2007, the Southern Knights Cruisers, Inc. presented the 8th MDA
Car Show on August 11, 2007, at Richard Bland College located in Petersburg, VA. For more info, please check the Southern Knights

This years show is August 9, 2008. A Raffle will be help for a Turnkey GM 350 HO Crate Engine at the show. There will be a live auction, door prizes and more. All money raised will go to MDA. Check it out at
