Thanks for the Memories!
Yes, the 2011 season is almost here. Well, we hope you all checked your vehicles to ready them for the season.
Just a few words of thought for all:
Those that have registered their vehicles as antiques in States not requiring safety inspections should take time to do a good
inspection of their vehicle during this off season period. I know the majority of you do just that. But, you might be surprised at the
number of vehicles that we see all the time that have not been inspected for several years, it appears. These have frayed
or stopped up rubber brake lines to the front and rear wheels. Some haven't seen brake fluid at the rear brake cylinders in quite
a while. The emergency brake cables are rusted and frozen. Ball joints and tie rods are worn out and in some cases about to fall
apart.
Folks these things are very dangerous. Please, Please take the time to check your vehicles over good during this off season!
Make sure the brakes, steering, and other safety equipment is in good working order. After all, your life, that of your wife, your
children, or that of your buddy may depend on it. Check the tires for rot; those brake linings, wheel cylinders, calipers, metal brake
and fuel lines, rubber bake lines, and master cylinder, the ball joints, tie rod ends, all the bushings, the sway bar links, the front
end alignment, and all steering parts. Check the shocks, exhaust, floor pans and in general everything! Don't take chances with
the mechanical parts breaking which may cause an accident and destroy your pride & joy. But mostly to protect you and your love
ones from being hurt or worst killed.
We again thank everyone that attended the cruise-ins and car shows and that helped make this year so special!
Take care & cruise safely.
